Reading this selected part of the log is lulzy enough to make me jizz in my pants. Yes, we get it, the GMs hate Fifi; yes, we get it, Dojan is a popular guy (attention whore); yes, we get it, Peanut is definitely not Theena; most importantly, IT'S OK TO GO AROUND COPY PASTA OTHERS' WORK AND CLAIM AS OURS.
Well, at least there is some common sense left in Zeth and Justin... Though I can hardly sense any on the current team. Isn't it kinda fucked-up?

Regarding Tifa, it's not necessary to follow your friend on his/her likings. Forcing yourself to blindly agree/disagree on your friend's liking is hypocrisy, or somewhat ass-liking too; to force your friend to agree/disagree with you is more or less fascism. Unfortunately, most AGE employees have these mentioned qualities.

I get why they don't want to credit Finella though, probably cuz CAVE wouldn't like it very much (even though I think indi got a reply-email saying that CAVE gave Aeria the rights to extract that kind of data/use it on their site).
But in the end they shouldn't even be using reverse-engined data if they're so afraid of retaliation from CAVE. The non-crediting part is just spiteful.
And Dojan makes me want to weep in shame... Seriously? How conceited do you have to be to self-proclaim that you're popular and that everyone wants to hang with you... I'm embarrassed for him. Also it's nice to note that he said himself, he doesn't give a rat's ass about other people's opinions. :P

I don't know much about lulu but she should probably read/educate herself with a bit of fifi's blog (regardless of personal feelings) since I believe she told someone in babel, who was making a mage class, that you didn't need magic-stat end-game I think. (I'm sure I can pull up logs somewhere when I get the time) It was pretty bad advice from what I can remember and I remember PMing a gamesage to suggest that they "correct her" before we got more..."pr0 gamerz". No offense to her personally but.... even if a gamesage only has to be friendly and helpful, that kind of "helping" just makes the noob population increase.
Oh and did that guy that tampered with the client files get banned yet? (Why are people going "Why would you get banned?" It's pretty obvious why he would get banned right? Aeria doesn't condone any tampering/touching of client files.)

ReplyDeleteThe GMs said it tons of times that CAVE gave them the rights to do so, though I can't really confirm that. However, if CAVE really did take this issue seriously, they should've force Fifi to take down all the reverse engineered information a long time ago, why wait till recently? J-wiki (or perhaps WikiWiki, I can't really remember) is using reverse engineered information, CAVE should've issued a warning to bring down the site, but as far as I can see, it's still there. The only thing I can relate to is Fifi exposing the GMs' bullshit, which leads to the GMs baaaaaaaaawing and butthurting over it. Perhaps they don't understand the phrase "asking for it".
Regarding Dojan, you'll get this shit out from a kid's/teenage's mouth time to time. I don't blame him, most will go through that period of time. Heck, when I was his age, I was much more self centered and egoistic than he was, but I was lucky to grow out from that annoying phase. Perhaps it's time for Dojan to grow up too? We might never know though.
Regarding Lulu, I don't wanna comment much, because I don't really pay attention on her. But if what you said is true, then I will be /facepalming over and over again.
